A new Canadian-made audio-powered vehicle that sounds like it was built in a factory is the brainchild of an engineer with the automotive industry.
The company behind the vehicle is called the Pedicure Technologies Group, or PHG.
The name is a play on the word pedometer, which is a device that measures the amount of noise your car makes while it’s in motion.
In its early stages, the company had a handful of prototypes built and tested in the lab.
But when the company saw how many people wanted it, they decided to make a larger, more-powerful version that was able to make more sound.
“We started to realize that we needed to be able to do it with a much wider audience,” said Michael Côté, CEO of PHG, in an interview with CBC News.
“People wanted to hear the engine of a car or a truck or something else that they didn’t have to worry about,” he said.
PHG’s product has been around for several years.
In fact, it was the inspiration for the new-generation car-sound-isolating system that has been introduced into all new cars and trucks in Canada and the U.S. The PHG system is designed to make sure the engine, transmission and brakes are in perfect working order when the vehicle’s on the road.
“It was really a really difficult project to get this product off the ground,” said Côte.
The process involved building prototypes, developing a working prototype, testing prototypes, and then manufacturing and shipping it.
PHGs product is not a new idea.
Other manufacturers have been trying to build products that would make the sound of an engine or transmission less annoying, while still being able to get out of the way.
The idea of a sound-isolator is something that has existed for decades.
It’s one of the most common applications for acoustic products in the automotive world, and it’s often used to make cars quieter or quieter cars quieter.
But it wasn’t until 2015 that PHG got its chance to make its own product, and they were able to take it to market.
“The reason we did that is because we knew the industry is evolving and we’re constantly evolving and it became apparent that we were missing something,” said Chris Brown, PHG VP of product.
Brown said it took him some time to get used to the idea that PHGs new system would actually make a difference.
“I mean, we did hear a lot of noise from our truck and we didn’t like it, so we figured we should make it louder, right?” said Brown.
PHGG says its product is able to reduce noise levels by 80 per cent.
But how does the company make the product sound?
It’s a bit of a tricky process.
Brown says it takes about two weeks to build the product.
“Once we got it out there, we really didn’t need to spend any time trying to figure out how to make it sound like a real truck or a real engine,” he explained.
But after getting the sound-sensor working, Brown says the company went to work on making the product as sound-friendly as possible.
“When we’re driving the truck, it’s actually quite hard to hear anything.
And you really don’t have any way of telling if the truck is running or not,” said Brown, who adds that if he were driving the vehicle in an environment where the truck was quiet, the noise would be much less noticeable.
Brown estimates that the product reduces the noise levels of about 40 per cent compared to a normal vehicle.
“To me, that’s very significant,” he told CBC News, adding that the sound is quieter than a lot if the vehicle has a lot more noise from the driver’s side and the engine.
PHPG’s product is being sold in the U, U.K. and Australia.
PHGH is a small business and Brown said that he’s confident that the company will continue to build out its product.
